My favourite time of the year other than having an MOT done!! :confused:

I transferred the Lupo's insurance policy over to the Twingo for the last month. Was bloody expensive for one month as well.

Anyway, got the usual renewal through from Elephant that was more than the year before. That typical trick of hoping you'll renew.

So online I went and did a quote on the Elephant web site, instead of the �450 they've quoted me I got it for �292! Bit of a bargain to be honest. I guess being 28 has it's perks. :)

After five years of working at my last firm I had my last day there on Friday.

That means no more funny shifts for me. Earliest I have to be in is 8am and latest I finish is 6pm. Still another law firm just far smaller but for a bit more cash, can't go wrong.

Picked this up yesterday for daily use to replace the Discovery, which has reached the end of its daily commuting life!

So its a BMW 525i SE Touring, Manual which is nice, 147k miles, MOT till May, Tax, E39 16" wheels, all for �650. Bargain!

I know we all like different types of music but ever get that moment with a band/artist where you think 'F*ck they are unbelievably good!'.

Been a fan of Avenged Sevenfold since about 2003, I know they're not everyone's taste but their musicianship is outstanding. For a bunch of guys in their 20s every single one of them is amazingly competent.

Well I don't mind food that's a bit hot or at least trying it. Don't get me wrong I'm not as hardcore as some but for those that like a bit of fire, I just bought these.

One is Blaire's Pure Death hot sauce, the other is zakk Wylde's brand of Blair's hot sauce called Bezerka Shot to Hell.

Each bottle comes with one of these which is rather funky!

The Pure Death sauce is made from Habanero Chile Pods and Naga Jolokia, which on a scale of things are pretty f*cking hot. Combined in the sauce and they're not too bad though. Tia whacked some in the rice we had at dinner and it was rather tasty.

I haven't tried the Berzerker one as yet but to give you an idea a Jalapeno on the Scoville rating is between 2,500-10,000. This sauce should be in the region of 700,000ish on that scale.

Check out this video, this stuff is probably hotter than the stuff I have. To put that much in your cake hole at once if mental!!!!

Not my style normally but I am FOOOKED OFF BIG TIME!!

Some stupid bloody tart in a Clio pulled out in front of me whilst I was going straight on at a mini-roundabout and she has been turning right, as in, directly in front of me and back down the road I've been on. So I have had to absolutely slam the brakes on in the Land Rover, squealing tyres and everything, and come within about 1 inch of her stupid french POS car and her ugly fecking face looking shocked in the window at what's just happened, then she's pulled off. I've turned round to catch up with her, go to put my foot on the brake and my foot just kept on going... yes... that's it... I had to wham the brakes on so hard i've burst the fooking brake line!

Aargh!

Fortunately I have breakdown cover and they have arrived in only 45 mins, and I was near a 24 hour tesco so could get a drink and a Krispy Kreme doughnut to cheer myself up. Just kinda feel that might well be the death call for the Disco....

If there is anybody here that was at Royal Albert way on saturday night you'll probably know or have an idea what happened.
I got there as the road was closed but a couple of people I know were there as it happened and were putting the fire out and trying to help the injured people.

That was a saph cosworth
This is what happens when you street race, apparently he hit the wall, climbed the wall then slammed back into the road at 80mph

To add to this somebody, obviously somebody who doesn't like street racing, took matters into their own hands when they did this

Yes self tapping screws glued to the roads. This is ultimately what caused this horrific crash, the chap had pulled up at the curb side and one of these lodged in his tire, apparently they are hollow screws to let the tyre down like a stinger.
As he drove off it blew his tire out causing the crash
My mates helped tend to the guys but apparently one guy was DOA, one they helped had a broken pelvis and punctured lung and I've heard one got paralyzed from the neck down.

My job is so f*cking unbelievable. I'll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with:

First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but damn is she completely useless.
The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on make-up.
She is extremely self-centred and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself.
She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breathe.

The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet.
Her career opportunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10.
I'm not sure she even showers, much less shaves her "womanly" parts.
I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive by the hardware store she moans like a cat in heat.

But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the f*cking stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead.
In fact, he is baked before he comes to work, during work, and I'm sure after work.
He probably hasn't been sober any time in the last ten years, and he's only 22.
He dresses like a beatnik throwback from the 1960's, and to make things worse, he brings his big f*cking dog to work.
Every f*cking day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walk around half-stoned from the second-hand smoke.
Hell, sometimes I even think it's trying to talk with its constant bellowing.
Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonald's and Burger King, every single fucking day.

Anyway, I drive these fucktards around in my van and we solve mysteries and shit.

First time I've ever had to do so but thought it prudent in the circumstances

Was on the M25 yesterday afternoon heading past J3 towards Dartford when, just after the exit, traffic slowed down to about 10mph (at which is remained till pretty much the toll booths!)

Anyway as I then was alongside the entry lane for joining traffic, I was in lane 2 when 6 or 7 (possibly more) Transit Vans all sped on, in convoy, towing caravans. Looked quite bizarre, but all of them looked a bit shifty to me as none of the caravans had proper numberplates, just marker pen, and all the drivers were going too quickly and "bullying" their way into the traffic, swerving, using the hard shoulder and generally nudging other traffic rather close together

I thought a) stolen vans and caravans OR b) accident waiting to happen but more like c) both of the above

So I called the rozzers thinking they should be aware and told them as much as I could remember taking in and let them know the score to see if anyone could attend - didn't see the vans again as they shot off ahead maybe even took the next exit, but hopefully something was done

Having always thought "Oh I'll check for reg numbers and details when I see something dangerous" it was not that easy to do, I remembered half of 1 numberplate and the signwriting on the side of 2 of the vans and that one van was a tipper/flatbed type - didn't get the rest!

although the size of the turbo makes it really laggy as it dosnt make full boost until 4500rpm and peak power is at 5800rpm so theres much more room for improvement.
future mods are to change the injectors to GTR ones as the standard ones are almost maxed and also need a z32 air flow meter, also a smaller turbo for better response.

its a EH Holden built in 1964
