when bent (correctly) it stretches mate. bending it back if you don't snap it or kink like said before the pressure from the brakes alone will almost definately burst the pipe were you are 'adjusted' your original bend. Sorry if it telling you how to suck eggs.

It's good to know - I have never made a brake line in my life so any advice would be great!

Blimey mate you gone the whole hog. Are you planning on getting more use out of these or just used the Beetle and Mini as excuse to build up your tool collection?

Also other than on Jason Plato's chevy thats the 1st time I've 'SilverLine'. Not very well known for such a big sponsor?

I'm planning on getting more use out of them than just the Mini and the Beetle... but also a good excuse to build up the tool collection

I'm sure I will get another project after these 2!!!! I also kind of enjoy making parts and learning how stuff works

2 more lines done. but need some more ends for the pipes! only short by 4 which is annoying!

Forgot to say we got 2 front wings for the bug at the weekend. One brand new never fitted/painted and the other in a rather fetching metalic blue. picked these up for £50 instead of £102+vat each for new replica ones.

off to order some gearbox paint now.... oh and to work out what to do about brake flexi hoses - braided or not?

Fantastic effort mate nice one and bargain on the wings!

I think if your going to do it properly braided always the way to go Especially if there not an arm and a leg difference in the price.
